Meet the team

Raised in Dallas TX, has lived in SF for 29 years. Has an art degree. Loves art, animals, and being an auntie. Spent most of her career working as an advertising director. Currently an entrepreneur and animal welfare activist. She happily says, "I found my calling." Kelly, Owner		Our oldest employee (but you can't tell by looking at her), started with leftovers at the beginning. Raised in Hawaii, she has lived in SF for 6 years. Annie does Leftovers' design and marketing (she also designed this website). Annie		A lover of all things beautiful: furniture, fashion and food. Michael founded and operated his very own wildly successful SF nightclub back in the 80's. Later Michael moved onto the high-end world of interior decorating. Having worked with the rich and famous from Kentfield to LA to Paris. Michael		Lauren is originally from Monterey but has lived in SF for 2 years. An artist and art history scholar, she is our resident expert when it comes to fine art consignments. Lauren
I have been in the world a lot longer then these young folks ! The only one older than me is Frankie! I love all the furry creatures at the shop and enjoy taking care of them all. May is a bay area native and though allergic to cats, is somehow immune when it comes to Frankie and Birdie. May		Kay enjoys working at Leftovers because there are entertaining co-workers, store cats, and a constant stream of leftovers which make for very few dull moments in any given day. Kay is also a freelance photographer. Kay		Rey comes to us from Sonoma county. He is our go-to man for sales and customer service. He's also a great help with our new doves. Ray

Eco-friendly Decorating

Recycle.

Leftovers is a green business model, based on upcycling & repurposing furniture. We are as surprised as the next person when it comes to rescuing some of the furniture slated for landfill. We are a local, community-based business (we don't have trucks huffing and puffing around like larger stores which need everything delivered from far away).

Reuse.

We reuse wrapping materials, boxes and bags • We use ECO COPY for our minimal printing needs • We are as paperless as possible • We light our stores with lots of CFL's • We keep our store shiny and clean using products with refillable bottles • All staff use green canteens instead of disposable water bottles • Leftovers does not own a car- we use zipcar! • All employees walk or take public transit to work

Relove.

Classics always come around again, and beautiful design never goes out of style. This is one of the keys to our success. Finding that one treasure that makes your heart beat a little faster is what keeps decorators coming back to Leftovers. But furniture's not the only thing that's "reloved" here: all our store pets are pre-owned! We adopt rescue animals in need from SF Animal Care and Control (currently we have two little dogs, one three-legged cat, and four doves).

Leftovers is proud to have hosted numerous community events, from film screenings to fundraisers. Our store offers a comfy yet chic environment for groups large and small. Compared to other venues, a soiree at our shop feels more like lounging in the home of your interior decorator friend - rather than attending a corporate get together. We offer a plug-n-play sound system, and long stainless steel tables for plating h'ors doeurves.
Event rentals are $250/hr, with a $500 minimum.
