we're a consignment shop! that means that we will take your "leftover" home furnishings and sell them at our shop.

to start the consignment process, send us an email to consign@leftoverstores.com of items you wish to consign. our mailbox can only accept messages smaller than 5MB. if you are unable to shrink your photos to a smaller size, we suggest sending one photo per message. also indicate what price you would be looking for. we will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours.

  • 50/50 split

  • checks are cut on the 15th of the following month your items are sold.

note always contact us before bringing in consignment. due to space limitations, we cannot always accept large items.

Q: What's a consignment shop?
A: A shop where people bring their items to sell and split the proceeds with the shop.

Q: What happens if my item(s) don't sell?
A: You will be given a "reclaim date" 60 days after the date of bringing in your items. You can call us to check on the status and if they have not sold you may a. reclaim, b. donate or c. reduce the price drastically.

Q: Will Leftovers call me to remind me to get my things?
A: No, you must mark your calendar.

Q: What kind of items do you take?
A: Pretty much anything for the home: furniture, china, crystal, decorative items, artwork, mirrors, rugs, etc... Single chairs, mirrors, coffee tables, bookcases, artwork and china do especially well.

Q: What items do you NOT take?
A: Some items may be too large to have in our store and we rarely accept bed frames, toys, dolls, baby items or any kind of textile items, such as upholstery and drapery fabrics.

Q: Who prices the stuff that comes I bring in?
A: Our experienced Leftovers staff.

Q: How do you come up with the price?
A: We work with consignors and discuss the item's history, condition and current popularity to set a price that will make the consignor and the shop money, while providing the kind of bargain customers come to expect in our shop.

Q: Can I just bring some stuff in?
A: If you have large or bulky items, Leftovers requires that you email or bring in a photo first. Smaller items can be brought in anytime during our regular stores hours.

Q: What are the best days to drop my stuff off?
A: Any day, but Saturdays can be very busy and you may have to wait.

Q: Where do I bring my items?
A: Bring them to the entrance of our shop at 1414 van ness between bush and pine. There is metered parking out front as well as in austin alley right next to our shop.
